Maths art on Monday 


Every two weeks inbetween my class does something called maths art Where we have to draw art using stuff like addition measurement and critical thinking and come out with really cool drawings.Well some times because i am not a very patient person and this involves a lot of patience.Any way this week we had to draw something called a cardioid in wich we started of with kind of a circle with 60 dots equally placed along the inside of the circle where we had to grab a ruler and draw straight lines across the lines in a pattern like 1-2 and then 2-4 and 3-6 in a pattern like that i hope you get it .Any ways after that we could make any type of design and i chose 1-4 4-8 and it didnt work very well so......yeah.But here is a picture of a cardioid

                             My Maori biography on Willie Apiata

  Not so long ago in te kahu class there was a task where you had to make a biography on a Maori hero of your choice. My Maori hero was Willie Apiata because he was one of 165  holders of the caritas cross  here is the biography i wrote on that week.Willie Apiata was born in 1976 to parents who were maori and pakeha. His parents had separated when Willie was 2, his childhood spent at Waima in Northland. When he was a teen he moved to Te kaha and attended te-Whanau-a-apunia-area school. He left school when he was 15. 

When willie was 17 he enrolled in the nz army on the 6th of october, territorial force hauraki regiment of the Royal nz infantry regiment and unsuccessfully joined the Special air services in 1996. Willie fought for the Army, and on return from war, he had successfully attempted  for sas. 

In Afghanistan 20 fighter planes had attacked Apiata's camp  and were attacking with rocket propelled grenades. One had blown Apiata of the hood of his truck where he had been sleeping. 2 other men had been injured by shrapnel. Corporal D is one of those men. When apiata woke up from being knocked out, he carried the corporal to safety. Soon after Apiata joined the fight and barely got out alive, and from that willie had been one of the few holders of the Victoria cross and to this day he is still alive to tell the tail.

           This week we had a task on our contract about the digestive system where we had to make a doc about the digestive system and how it works heres what i wrote.

Where does our food go after we eat it? 

 The food you consume moves down your throat and into your esophagus and goes down and mixes with your stomach acid called gastric acid which burns it into smaller particles. After that happens, the pancreas absorbs all of the nutrients from the food and circulates it in and around to your body. Your liver helps to remove all harmful substances and pumps it into the large intestine and turns it into faeces.Right and after we did that we had to make a poster drawing of the digestive system. and sadly i dont know how to bring a photo on to post soz

                    
                        Cross country traningwich i hate....




            Cross country training...Every week my class and a few others do cross country training wich includes a 3km road run another 3km road run and 5-10 laps of our massive feild our feilds about 400 metres as a run around. And i know that because i did 2 or 3 laps once and they sad it was 1200 metres and it gets pretty boring after 2 feet or nah im exaggerating probably like 2 cm yeah . But when you do the road run wich has slopes hills and straights  and turns  all sorts its kind of not boring its kind of fun there was 40 million teachers across the run .And btw i came 13th once....😎👌

Every tuesday 2 of the classes in our school go to something called Mahi tahi and yesterday we had to make waterbottle car that could move atleast 1 metre without touching  it in any way you could only use 3 rubber bands 1 baloon a couple of these weird popsicle sticks some other stuff that i cant remember . First me and my team was not going to well so we took a while and we ended up with something that looked magnificent we had  Sellotape all around a balloon on top and the nozzle had a rubber band around it when it was our turn to see if it can go 1 metre when we got the rubber band off we were amazed at how far it can go it went 1 millimetre got to be 1st

I am in the war me and my mates are sleeping at the moment we can hear gunshots in the distance i´ve got scars and and a broken toe in the war it is very brutal you've just got to run with the gang and as fast as you can all you can think about is if you are going to survive or not my sargent has armed me with a musket with 50 bullets and told me to snipe up top the hill so i go up the hill and i see a bad guy and i think to myself should i kill him or not i think yes so i aim and………..BOOM!! I had fired a shot at his head and then i go search his body for ammo i find 200 now i have 250 so i sit on the hill i take aim into the war i see another person BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM! BOOM! I was killing so much i thought i was a good addition to the team but then my team was screaming up to me saying GET OUT OF THERE but then i look up and i see 5 men towering over me they all shot me in the legs and this is my last letter goodbye cruel world

A Few weeks ago Tekahu Tui Kakapo went on a trip to got to matai bay to look at the environments of nz and matai bay is a place with a ra hui on it which is a protection on a specific piece of land for example a ra hui is going to be placed here in a 4.5 k radius. And it is where you are not allowed to get any food fish anything from around the place anyway back to a school trip.When we got there I was pretty hyped about all of those little fish swimming within like 3 feet of me but it wasn't just me that was excited it was also everyone else I mean why wouldn't you be all that excitement at your toes anyway when they were calling out the groups I was in group one the group they called was group 1 what a miracle but first we had to go through so much pain so much tensing so much sweating and that is……. Putting a swimsuit on so hard but when that was over we finally got to snorkel after 100 years of instructions but like 20 feet in i was starting to have regrets about until i saw snapper  leather jacket a bluenose yes im sure i saw one. that was a sign of not many sharks so I was sort of glad anyway about 50 feet out there was kina and all sorts of other fish kelp mini caves and really deep parts where you could go down and have a look of course there isn't much but still every now and then a fish even sometimes a eagle ray ..rare though

😂😂this is knot fun😅😅

This is the noose knot down there it was a very hard knot to TRY and do I struggled and I had to get my freind to help me draw one .And i wreckon it would be good for holding boats in place of course If you can even make it check it out https://www.animatedknots.com/indexbasics.php

Round  of    applause to me  it was a kind of tricky knot you just need a solid  bit of string to do it with no threads in it I think it would be good for pulling things eg a tree stump thats all folkes check out more at the link

Last week on friday some of the competetive winning people wnt to the athletics zones and it wasnt to fun

The morning we got there we had to talk about groups and stuff and safety but i'm use to that stuff after all that we were free for about an hour to muck around until we had to long jump i obvieisly didnt really stand a chance i could only jump 320cm tall person short jump i came last but meeh no big deal i tried my best

google doc ninja challenge!!!!!

Today my whole class did a google doc ninja challenge were we had to do a series of diffrent google challenges and pasting and stuff.First of we had to start with some simple text colouring and stuff and insert some kid freindly images and i put a puddy cat .And then stuff started to get abit specific we had to give sentences two spaces inbetween each word.Of course I smashed that.And on to red belt were it got pretty tricky including hyperlinks inserting things bullet points statistics and copy of some writing .Somehow I did that."And then black belt" black belt the hardest of them all I got tripped up by blackbelt I'm talking hyperlinks putting google drawings and colouring .Learning how to make comments researching and pasting AND SOMEHOW I completed that an I had earnd a blackbelt
